I like building small systems that solve annoying problems I run into in everyday life. Most of what I've built started that way. At my internship I watched the team hand-copying data out of software exports and wrote a tool that did it for them. I built a computer vision system that tracks parking lot occupancy because it's a real problem with a solvable shape. I'm not usually chasing an impressive idea, I'm chasing something that's slower or dumber than it needs to be. Eventually I want to bui
